Terms of Use

Effective 1 January 2026

Weather Genie is not a substitute for official emergency information. During dangerous weather, follow the instructions of your local emergency services.

What the app is for

Weather Genie provides weather information for general, informational purposes. Forecasts are predictions produced by third-party meteorological models, and they are sometimes wrong — about timing, about intensity, and occasionally about whether something happens at all.

The complimentary period and the purchase

Weather Genie is free to use for 30 days from first launch, with no payment details required to begin. After that, continuing to use it requires a single purchase of lifetime access.

It is not a subscription. It does not renew, there is nothing to cancel, and you are never charged automatically — a purchase happens only when you tap it and confirm with Apple.

The purchase is tied to your Apple Account, can be restored on any device signed in to it, and is shared with everyone in your Family Sharing group. Your saved places, settings and cached forecasts are kept whether or not you buy; nothing is deleted if the complimentary period ends.

Payment, refunds and billing are handled by Apple, not by Weather Genie. Refund requests go to reportaproblem.apple.com.

Insights and commentary

Nimbus AI insights are interpretations of forecast data, labelled as such wherever they appear. Humorous commentary is decoration. Neither is a meteorological judgement, and neither should be relied on for a decision that matters.

Official government warnings are reproduced exactly as issued, are always shown above anything the app generates, and are never reworded or suppressed. Where the two disagree, the official warning is the one to act on.

Availability

The app depends on external weather services. Those services can be slow, incomplete or temporarily unavailable, and radar coverage does not exist everywhere. A blank radar means no data, not clear skies, and the app says so rather than leaving you to guess.

Warranty

Weather Genie is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app or reliance on the information it displays.

Acceptance

By using Weather Genie, you agree to these terms.
